The Ceramic TrumpetThis ceramic trumpet can be traced back all the way to 300 A.D. It can be found in the Larco Museum Collection in Lima, Peru. The ceramic trumpet does not have any valves. These trumpets were mainly used in the military and for religious purposes rather than for music purposes.

The Keyed TrumpetThe keyed trumpet was made in the early 20th centuries. This trumpet was used for musical purposes and it was smart to add the keys but it didn't sound very good.
|
Modern Valve TrumpetThe valve trumpet was invented by Francois Perinet in 1839. This trumpet is the most commonly played trumpet today. It was made for musical purposes and sounds way better than the keyed trumpet.
